La Cornue CornuFé deserves the finest in both quality and performance, and our Cézanne in Black is an inspired range hood for such an inspiring range!

With its graceful curves and delicate yet strong features, it’s an excellent choice for the unique and understated design shown above, alive with both Swedish Modern and French Country influences that combine to create a beautiful, functional kitchen.

Coloured in Classic Black semi-gloss to match the CornuFé, the Hammered pattern is dressed with Gold Banding, accentuating the notoriously curvacious shape of the Cézanne frame. Our creation is treated with Fleur-de-Lis, top and bottom, and gently hand-brushed with layers of Gold Finish.

The result, as you can see, is stunning! Our Cézanne in Black is the perfect crowning element, both in style and function, for this - or your - La Cornue CornuFé.

This hood was installed in the 2007 Cape May Designer Show House last year. Our sister company, Valley Tin Works was called upon to install a new tin ceiling in the kitchen to reflect the eclectic history of this early Federal residence which had undergone several Victorian-era additions and renovations, as well as more recent remodeling. We chose the relatively simple lines of the Bradshaw frame to highlight the elegance of the surrounding cabinetry and fixtures.

Note: we built this frame custom to fit an existing liner and blower, so this hood is not outfitted with our standard Vent-a-Hood liner. A counter-level view of the kitchen shows the inner workings of the hood:

For this traditional-styled kitchen based around dark wood grain cabinetry, we recommended a 24″ tall x 48″ wide Botticelli frame in Classic Black with Golds finish. We were able to slightly lighten the finish tone to blend better with the wood cabinetry, using the visual similarity between the metal patterning of the hood and the wood of the cabinets to create a classic American look for this kitchen.

This range hood was selected to offset an airy light-themed contemporary kitchen. The high gloss and warm color palette of the Burgundy with Coppers finish adds a focal point to the creams and whites of the cabinetry, while the curves of the frame give a spacial complement to the straight lines and open space of the kitchen.

This red range hood over a Mondrian frame, customized with a black finish, perfectly matches the rustic red of the range as well as accentuating the khaki of the tin backsplash. Note the similarity in tile pattern between the range hood and the backsplash, which adds visual continuity to an otherwise dramatic kitchen. This custom range hood, installed in the historic Lowe residence, was what inspired us to
make a business out of building range hoods. A fleur-de-lis pattern tile over the hammered pattern forms a medallion on the front panel. The corniced top valence is another option we will be offering shortly on all the rangehoods we build.
